After a few years of teaching Conceal Carry in NM, I realized we are answering the same question MANY times!! That is OK, it is our job and we are happy to answer it again. For those of you looking for answers ONLINE, this may help you understand.
What do I need to get my CCW license?
To get your conceal carry in NM, you will need to complete the 15 hours of training by a state certified instructor. Before or after attending the class, you can go and get your fingerprints. I wrote a separate blog about fingerprints here. Fill out the complete 2 page application. Have your Information Release form and Health Information Form signed, witnessed, and/or notarized as required.
The New Mexico Department of Public Safety Conceal Carry Unit has a website that can answer a lot of questions, but they also have forms you can download. You can fill out the application using an online form and print it out. Click here for the application.

What do I need to do to prepare for the Conceal Carry Class?
There is not really much to do before day 1 of the class. About a week out from any Conceal Carry course we teach, we will send a version of this email below to help you prepare for the course ad needed. When you receive a copy of the email below, it will have the dates listed in the email.
